Let me take you on a trip
Across the river Styx
Where Charon is the boatman
Who will take you across
For two silver coins
He'll row you to Hades
He guides the fallen ones
All the warriors that died
When the battle is nigh you must fight to survive
It's what you've been training for all of your life
Your blade faintly glows by the moons pallid light
And the blood of your foes paint the skies red tonight
With a cry that chills bone, your sword finds its mark
You look back to find more dangers in the dark
“To live by the sword, is to die by the sword”
With a stab in the chest, you'll be gone from this world
Now, when everything grows cold
You remember what you were told
On the riverside you wait
Until the boatman can be paid
And when the air is still
You feel the deathly chill
Beyond the distant gates
Your resting place awaits
And when it all goes black
There is no coming back
The ending of your tale
When Charon's boat, sets sail
He, rows the boat to the other side
Take the trip to your afterlife
Your final journey, where Hades exists
Across the river, called the Styx
A new day is here, let the battle resume
Another legion of men who will meet their doom
All the souls of the fallen the boatman shall guide
The shores of the Styx will be crowded tonight
He, rows the boat to the other side
Take the trip to your afterlife
Your final journey, where Hades exists
Across the river, called the Styx
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Blackened death metal riffs and Lovecraftian horror go hand-in-hand on the Seattle brutalists' ferocious eight-track epic. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 6, 2023
This album is just 100/100, like so many albums from mgla. How can a band hit the spot so many times? They are incredible. Thank you for accompanying me almost daily these days :) adrianradillo
